About Larnaca

Larnaca is a fascinating blend of old and new, a vibrant new city and a historic old town blended together. Larnaca can offer you a bit of everything; be it a quiet afternoon relaxing in a streetside cafe, an evening out at a nightclub, or enjoying a day out at the blue flag beaches.

Old Town Larnaca offers culture and charm; museums, the castle, St Larzarus' church, a fruit & veg market, and traditional shops and tavernas.

The modern side of Larnaca offers you a wide range of entertainment and dining options - cafes, tavernas and international cuisine. If you are looking for lively nightlife there are bars and clubs.

The main focus of any coastal town has to be the beachfront, and Larnaca has 25km of blue flag sandy beaches leading to the tranquil warm waters of the Mediterranean. A palm tree lined promenade runs along the main beachfront in the centre of town, flanked to the north by the marina and to the south by the old fort. Beyond the fort is a road leading to a row of fish tavernas right on the water's edge.
